A Continuing Care Retirement Community in Western New York

Financial Options

When considering your financial options you may have many alternatives: real estate holdings (a home), Long Term Car Insurance, 401k plans, CD’s, Investments, Bonds and IRA’s. If you or a spouse were a wartime veteran, there’s more good news;

Fredonia Place is proud to be the first Chautauqua County senior care facility to facilitate Veterans’ Administration (V.A.) benefits for our residents. These benefits are available through the V.A. to current and prospective residents of Fredonia Place through the Wartime Veterans Pension and are referred to as the Aid and Attendance Benefit.

All wartime veterans and their spouses are eligible. The veterans must have served in the military during a declared wartime period such as World War II, Korea or Vietnam, but need not have fought, only served during such a time.

The formula calculates the benefit based upon monthly cash flow, minus health care expenses. Because your rent at Fredonia Place rent is considered a health care expense, you are able to qualify for a higher V.A. Pension Benefit. All benefits awarded under this program are retroactive to the date of application and are increased annually by the V.A. based on any cost-of-living increases.
